Upcoming Free Concerts and Movies – Toronto 2015

After a blistering winter, the sun is finally out and the city is overflowing with events and adventures to explore. Many of these hidden gems are free and accessible to all. This year we are treated to a slew of free concerts and outdoor film festivals. Below is a list of some of the these free events that are taking place across our beautiful city. This list will be periodically updated as new events are announced. Free Concerts



In celebration of the Pan Am Games, Toronto is hosting a series of free concerts at Nathan Philips Square.


July 12th – Death From Above 1979
July 13th – Ondatropica
July 15th – Lila Downs

July 19th – The Flaming Lips
July 22nd – Marie-Pierre Arthur
July 22nd – Café Tacvba
July 25th – Damian Robitaille

The Annual music festival is bringing a bunch of big artists to Toronto and as always, an free three night concert series at the Yonge-Dundas Square.

June 21st – Shad, Ty Dolla $ign, Casey Veggies and more.

Toronto Jazz Festival 

Toronto’s Jazz Festival that runs from June 18th-29th.


June 19th – George Clinton & Parliament Funk, Morris Day & The Time and Dumpstaphunk

Beach BBQ and Brews Festival

A three day festival at Woodbine Beach headlined by free concerts.

Indie Fridays

A free concert series at the Yonge-Dundas Square on Friday evenings. Shows begin at 8:30pm

Tiff in the Park 2015

One of my favourite outdoor film festivals in Toronto. Screenings take place at David Pecaut Square at approximately 9pm on Wednesdays.

Thanks ffc! Watching an outdoor film on the grass in David Pecaut Square is always a treat and I look forward to the New Pornographers as well!
